Meet the acoustic duo DENIM. Singer-songwriters Meagan Jane and Mitchi Renegen, from the NSW Central Coast. Blending folk, country and rock influences with their heartfelt harmonies, warm stage presence and genuine storytelling have quickly made them a crowd favourite on stages across regional Australia.

In just 12 months since forming DENIM has built an impressive list of achievements, most recently being crowned the 14th Australian National Busking Champions (2025) in Cooma after winning their local heat at The Entrance. Earlier in the year, they also placed in the Top 20 Buskers at the Tamworth Country Music Festival 2025, earning praise from industry judges, venue owners, and radio personalities.

Their journey has taken them across NSW and QLD on their self-run DENIM Heads West tours, performing at iconic venues such as the Darling Downs Hotel (Sandy Creek Pub), Killarney Hotel QLD, and the Linga Longa Inn in Gundy. Along the way, they’ve also lent their music to community and charity events, including helping raise funds for Camp Quality at the annual Band Together Against Cancer concert at The Victoria Hotel, Hinton.

What started as “let’s just give it a go” has become a year of unexpected milestones, long drives, late nights, and unforgettable shows. All that and DENIM is only just getting started.
